Why MamaMoon: Introduction
Welcome to MamaMoon Journey!
Dear Families,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the beginning of an exciting journey in early childhood education! My name is Maria and I’m a dedicated preschool and special needs teacher with a passion for nurturing young minds. My journey began in Sydney, Australia, where I worked as a support teacher, igniting my love for fostering children's growth and development. This experience opened my eyes to the incredible potential every child possesses.
After moving back to Spain, I had the privilege of opening a commercial daycare that welcomed 300 families over 12 years. Each day, I witnessed the magic of play-based learning and the importance of creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore. Now, I find myself in Vancouver, excited to embark on a new adventure by opening a home-based daycare that embodies my vision and values.
In this new space, I aim to create an environment rooted in play-based learning, the Reggio Emilia approach, and the principles of emotional intelligence. I believe that children learn best when they are engaged, curious, and given the freedom to explore their interests. By integrating multiple intelligences into our curriculum, I strive to celebrate each child’s unique strengths and learning styles, helping them flourish both academically and emotionally.
This small, intimate setting allows me to pay close attention to the curriculum, the environment, and, most importantly, each child. My dedication to early childhood education goes beyond simply teaching; it’s about fostering a love for learning and creating a community where families feel connected and supported.
I invite you to join me on this journey as we nurture your children’s growth and celebrate their individuality together. I am excited to share insights, activities, and updates through this blog, offering a glimpse into our daily experiences and the joys of play-based learning.
Thank you for being a part of our community. I look forward to collaborating with you as we create a warm, loving, and inspiring environment for your children to thrive!
Warmly,
Maria
